SUB-THEME4: DIVINE MEANS OF HEALING
TOPIC: Human Agents (iii): Individual Believers Today.
TEXT: Ezra 9:1 – 10:15.
AIM: To
- Discover what God expects individual believers to do about the healing of the land/nation;
- Aspire to be used by God to restore lost glories;
- Realise we have all it takes to spearhead revival and will be accountable for them.
INTRODUCTION
Our text clearly states the individual roles of Ezra and Shechaniah and how these propelled appreciable corporate effort and revival. Ezra was a priest, Shechaniah was a layman. The combination of their roles is a typical example of what is needed for a great divine visitation to the Church of Nigeria today. Both men were not invited, they simply responded to the burdens placed in their hearts by God. Revival and its accompanying healing can begin from either the clergy or lay. It depends entirely on how individual believers respond.
