GREETINGS AND FELICITATION

1. 1. Glory, honour, praise and thanksgiving to God for sparing our lives and those of our loved ones to witness and celebrate another Christmas in joy, peace and felicity this year. Merry Christmas to all our parishioners and other worshippers at this service. God will visit and bless us as we all rejoice. We also pray that we shall all live to shout alleluia at the beginning of Year 2018 in Jesus name.
   2. We welcome all first timers and pray that their presence at this service will mark the beginning of greater blessings and joy in their lives in Jesus name. They should kindly exit through the door on the lectern side of the church and wait to interact with the “WELCOME TEAM “after the service.
   3. Christmas service will hold tomorrow at 7am & 9am. Both services are Holy Communion and we shall also have thanksgiving at both.
   4. We congratulate and felicitate with all the birthday celebrants of the week as well as those who celebrate their wedding anniversaries and other landmark events this week. God will increase them on all sides and grant them many happy returns of the celebrations in Jesus name.
   5. All our weekly activities as contained in our weekly bulletin will hold as usual this week.
   6. We appeal that all those who have not paid their annual due should please do so before the year ends. It’s N2,000:00k per member including the children. We also appeal that all those who have outstanding pledges should redeem them. God will make adequate provision for them in Jesus name.
   7. We appeal that we should all be security conscious during this festive period. In the same vein, we implore all our members to make use of the car park we paid for at the Tafawa Balewa Square, directly behind our main church building. It’s in the best interest of all.
   8. Let us remember the less privileged at this Yuletide Season. Also remember your extended family members and the parish priests in your home town. God will remember you also for good.
   9. We need financial assistance for the Diocese of Afikpo. Please write your cheque in favour of the diocese and if you do it in the name of Our Saviour’s Church, TBS, indicate “Diocese of Afikpo” at the reverse page.
   10. Remember to always pray for our dear country. We are hopeful that God will restore our fortunes and convert the souls of our enemies who constitute themselves as a clog in the wheel of our progress.

3. MONTHLY BAPTISM:  Our baptism holds every first Saturday of the month.  Please plan to key into this, as your preferred date could clash with other programmes and can lead to rejection of your date.
4. REQUEST FOR SCRIPTURE READERS FOR YEAR 2018: Members interested in reading the Old Testament at 0800, 1100 and 1800 hrs on Sundays should please put down their names in the administrative office today and within the week. Kindly indicate your name and telephone numbers, and also a specific date (if any), so as to enable us prepare the roster. Those who would like to read to mark their birthdays are especially welcome. Note that the Epistles are usually read by the Readers.
5. DRESSING OF BRIDES AND OTHER MEMBERS OF THE BRIDAL TRAIN DURING WEDDING SERVICES: We use this medium to appeal to all parents and guardians whose children (daughters or daughters-in-law) will be getting married to teach them the dignity of decent dressing, especially during wedding services. By decent dressing, we mean that the wedding gowns and other wedding dresses should cover the entire body. Any indecent dressings during such occasions will be frowned at and the clergy will not take kindly to it. This is a very important notice that must be taken seriously. by all our  parishioners  and other worshippers because we will not compromise the Word of God for any reason.
6. MALACHI 1: 12A GOD SAYS: “BUT YOU DISHONOUR MY NAME BY YOUR ACTIONS” (NEW LIVING TRANSLATION):  God is dishonoured when in a Church service some of us do the followings: answer/make calls, read newspapers, etc.; ping with our phones or do things that negate the real worship of God. Please if you have been doing any of these, desist from such. God bless you richly as you choose to reverence His holy and awesome presence.

1. LAGOS ANGLICAN BIBLE COLLEGE – ADMISSION:- The Lagos Anglican Bible College forms for admission into Certificate, Diploma  and Advanced Diploma Course in Biblical Studies for year 2017/2018 Session commencing January 2018 are now on sale at the  Study Centres,17, Broad Street, Lagos, and the offices of the following churches: All Soul’s Anglican Church, Lekki; New Era Anglican Church, Lekki. 2. Business Fellowship 10 million Empowerment Fund: The Business Fellowship, Our Saviour’s Church humbly request for the support of the church in raising 10million Naira as Empowerment Fund for 100(One hundred) aspiring entrepreneurs/members as a revolving loan at N100,000= each. Please send your donations to the church account and indicate Business Fellowship Empowerment Fund. We pray that poverty will be far from you and your children.
3. SUNDAY SCHOOL VACATION: There will be NO Sunday School classes from Sunday, 24th December to Sunday 31st December, 2017. Teachers will resume duty on Sunday, 7th January, 2018.
4. SCHOLARSHIP FOR OUR SAVIOUR’S CHURCH YOUTHS for those in government owned tertiary institutions is ongoing for 2017/2018 session. Please submit applications to the Administrative Office.

6. FOOD BANK: The Food Bank is the Project of the Youth Ministry of this Church. This enables us to cater for the needy in the Church. The  Bank opens every first Sunday at the Church Hall immediately after the Youth Service. We thank all our donors and ask more people to be part of this project. Please feel free to donate cash or food items; Rice, beans, Garri, vegetable oil, beverages etc to this bank. 7. FUNERAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
   1. We announce the call to glory of Ugoeze (Lady)  Vestal C. Egbukole (Mother and mother-in-law of Prince Ikenna and Princess Jennifer Egbukole respectively) on the 6th of December, 2017. Aged 74years. The funeral arrangements will be communicated soon.
   2. We share in the pains of Mr. & Mrs. Christian Omoru on the call to glory of their father and father-in-law respectively Evangelist Amos A. Aged: 74 years.  Funeral arrangement to be announced later.
